When I am not traveling I usually sleep a littler longer in the mornings because I often work until late.

But this morning I got up at 6:00 AM, did my yoga, took a shower and had my hot millet with apples and cinamon - my morning routine. Right after this I felt a strong impulse to spend time outside in nature - so I went down to the lake.

I sat down, closed my eyes, took deep breaths and listened - outside but much more inside. Let me tell you just briefly why it's so important to start a busy day in such a natural way (if we have the chance that nature is close by).

Simple truth: If we want to grow further from inside out, we have to listen. Not so much to the noisy and demanding world but to whatever shows up inside of us. All of this could be perceived best when we are connected to the source.

So start your day in nature if possible and spend some precious quality time with the most important person in your life: yourself.
