Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

Shock, horror – Vince McMahon is being a money grabbing shit bag and treating his talent like garbage. He’s now looking to essentially take money out of their pockets, via their Twitch and Cameo accounts, which WWE are now taking control of. The lads discuss this latest development, how it effects the talent, what it might mean for future unionisation of talent, the independent contractor issue, and Andrew Yang’s latest comments on this situation.

It’s one year since AEW launched and the lads talk the past year of AEW and in particular the positive impact the company has had on the wrestling industry. There’s also some chat around Retribution and the big reveal of their leader this week on RAW. The lads discuss this and have more fun with silly Retribution names. The WWE Draft is coming up this week, so the lads steal a spreadsheet from someone and go through the Raw and Smackdown roster looking at who might be drafted where. Going through the rosters really does show how little main event or star talent WWE actually have on their books at the moment. So. Many. Midcarders. It’s 30 years of Chris Jericho in the wrestling business this week, so the lads discuss Jericho’s career, where he stands in the list of all time greats and what makes him so special. They also answer a listener email on Jericho and his recent attitude towards BLM and COVID.

The show is wrapped up with a review of NXT Takeover 31. All the matches, finishes, angles and potential future matches are covered. The lads discuss the new setting for NXT and wonder just who this throwback to the Capital Wrestling Corporation is supposed to appeal to. There’s tons of audio issues with fake crowd noise, nerds banging on plexiglass, and for some bizarre reason, stunt double commentators at ringside. That said, the lads did really enjoy this show. There wasn’t a bad match on the card and the main event was a match of the year contender. A really fun review of a fun show.

So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.
