On my podcast last week I covered the first resurrection which occurred on Good Friday as a result of the immediate efficacy of Christ's blood. I know that in modern day preterism there is a desire to deny the first resurrection, separated from the second by 40 years, but scripture, and the early and historic church, show otherwise.


What I showed last Saturday, and will demonstrate further tomorrow, is that the spiritual resurrection of the saints occurred on Good Friday, and remains to believers of every generation at their birth or upon their conversion, as does the second resurrection, or the judgment, which we all face as we pass from this life to the next. This is then the second death for the unbeliever.

Christ's descent into hell - harrowing of hell - plundering of hell/hades is one of my favorite subjects because it provides clarity for so many other doctrines of our faith.
