GOING ON THE HEIGHTS

HABAKKUK 3:17-19

Background

Ø Though the fig tree does not bud

Ø And there are no grapes on the vine

Ø Take your eyes off your difficulties and look to God

Ø The righteous will leave by faith

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord

Ø We do not worship God out of convenience, but in spite of

Ø We rejoice in prosperity and also rejoice in adversity

Ø Every adversity has a duration, purpose and it is my elevator

Ø I will be joyful in God my Savior

Ø I remain expectant of the salvation of the Lord in all situations

The Sovereign Lord is my strength

Ø He is in total control

Ø You need to believe God

Ø My strength comes from God

He makes my feet like the feet of a deer

Ø He grants me sure footed

Ø He grants me capacity to climb mountains

Ø He grants me feet that will grip when I go through tough terrains

He enables me to go on the heights: my high places

Ø My new feet gives me capacity to leap and run

Ø You will run from the lowest valley to the highest mountain

Ø Your run will be smooth and quick

Ø It’s not a flat run, it’s a run from you current low to your prepared high places

Ø Run, you will make it through the rough places

Ø There is a high place with your name on it

Ø You’ve concluded your period of waiting

Ø The period of labor is over, this is a period of reward

Ø No longer stagnancy or retrogression
