On Sunday, September 27, 2020, Rev. Robert Mossotti continued the introduction to his Sunday School series on Dispensationalism.

Dispensationalism teaches that the Old Testament prophets must be taken literally; otherwise, the interpreter must allegorize the Scriptures, which is characteristic of liberal theology. Reformed covenant theology teaches that Christ himself and the Apostles' use of the Old Testament in the New Testament must inform the way the Old Testament prophets are to be interpreted.

Hosea 6:1,2 Israel = Christ & the church in him; Hosea 11:1 (cf. Matt. 2:15) The Exodus applied to Christ's childhood experience.

Romans 2:28-29; Galatians 3 The Singular Seed of Abraham--the Lord Jesus Christ--is foundational to the plural seed of Abraham--the church.

Romans 11:19-21 For dispensationalism, the Old Testament is the key to interpreting the New Testament; for Reformed covenant theology, the New Testament is the key to interpreting the Old Testament; In the New Testament, Jewishness has been redefined; Christ is the New Israel.
