On Sunday, November 3, 2019, Harry Monroe lead the adult Sunday School class in a discussion on sanctification and brotherly love from 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12

Paul addresses the church in Thessalonica, not the pagan culture outside the church. The world didn't believe about morality what the church believed. This is increasingly so in twenty-first century American culture as well. Faithfulness on the part of a church consists of both right doctrine as well as right behavior. In verses 3-8, Paul instructs the Thessalonians on maintaining their sanctification in terms of their abstaining from sexual immorality . In verses 9-12, Paul applies our calling to brotherly love: work to support yourself and mind your own business, so that your self-sufficiency will adorn your profession of faith before those outside the church.
