As we find ourselves heading into the thick of the holiday season, many people are asking us how to navigate it in a way that doesn't feel like they're on a runaway train. Parties, wrapping up work projects, family visits, shopping, volunteering, church activities and various holiday festivities can leave us all feeling like we need a reset once January hits.

This incessant hustle is often what drives people to set New Year's resolutions, many of which ultimately fizzle. Allowing others to control our lives and tossing our self-care to the curb for a couple months can do that. We're here to help!

We've got 5 helpful phrases to try out this holiday season. These are things you can actually SAY to help you set some boundaries, reclaim a bit of your own time and space, and perhaps feel a bit more centered this year. These phrases work in many different scenarios, from work to family and beyond.

Let us know if you try one and how it went for you! We love hearing from our listeners. Happy Holidays from your Middleish crew!
