The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is an anthology film with a puncher’s chance in many an Oscar Category, and it’s now streaming on Netflix for your viewing “pleasure?” We answer that question and many many more with these two reviews for the price of one in our OSP here. To begin, our non-spoiler review also lays the groundwork for your viewing of the film as we cover the entire Coen Brothers filmography, mentioning our favorites, the brothers’ many red carpet walks for Oscar, and their 25 year odyssey of a production backstory leading into this film. Mike 1 discusses some specs where the Academy should take notice to some high numbers as rich in dramatic irony as this plot. In other words, we are fans, and so are many critics.
