It’s our debut of MMO Weekly! We discuss all our grand plans for you at the top of the episode, and why we hope this will become a fun addition to your regular listening. The new format will be a great way for us to keep you updated on awards season, SixDegreesOfMMO finds a home, and we’ll also get the chance to stay more timely with all the latest movie news, box office, and upcoming releases.

The best thing about this format is that we’ll have some regular segments and some that’ll rotate from week to week. In other words, our show can adapt to whatever’s trending. We can review & preview other TV shows & movies, whether they’re playing on the silver screen or you’re binge watching them on your favorite streaming device. We can cook up the hot takes more regularly and react faster to the latest news in the film trades, your new pop culture obsession, or the leading story on CNN. Finally and most important, we’ll give a home to SixDegreesOfMMO and all the other games, polls, questions, and contests we have in store for you. Our audience interaction has been a highlight of our first year of MMO, and we want a chance to check in with you all on a more consistent basis.

What are we watching? The Mikes do enjoy watching stuff just for fun, and we discuss our favorite streaming options on Netflix & College Humor. What’s the Big News Story of the Week? We update you on the California Wildfires and share how we all can help in this crisis. We turn back into some happier topics and finally announce our SixDegreesOfMMO round 4 winners before laying down challenge 5. Then we discuss the latest results at the box office, and why The Grinch is capitalizing on yet another holiday craze. We ask each other about what we’re most looking forward to in the upcoming release schedule and react to a few more news stories in a segment we’ve called, “Do You Care. And in conclusion, we culminate the show with a deep dive into an Oscar Race Update for A Star Is Born. Will it dominate awards season, or will the race tighten up and how?
