A re-connection via Facebook sparked a romance between Kiri and Luke and before she knew it she was moving from Adelaide to Darwin to be with her Army guy, only for him to get word that he would be deploying to Afghanistan just 6 weeks after she moved to be with him!

That deployment would change Kiri's now Husband forever after two of his mate's were killed in action. He would also go onto have a medical emergency out in the field, face medical discharge and so much more.

Luke put his hand up for help and Kiri says she will forever be grateful and proud of him for that. It has been a long road to healing but Kiri stood strong beside Luke even when he wanted to walk away. This is Part 1 of their story.
