In M4M episode 2, we explore some thoughts surrounding the question,

“What is Your Mission?”

In Episode 1, I stated that “direction is important.”

If you listen to this Episode 2, then you will begin to be equipped to genuinely ask, “Do I know where I am heading?” and have a few tools to help you answer.

Getting up to go to work to make some money to buy some stuff to go home to go to sleep to get up to go to work to make some money to buy some stuff to go home to go to sleep… is NOT a life pattern that makes one fulfilled nor does it help other much.

Theologian, Frederick Buechner, wrote-

“Vocation comes from the Latin vocare, to call, and means the work a man is called to by God. There are all different kinds of voices calling you to all different kinds of work, and the problem is to find out which is the voice of God rather than of Society, say, or the Super-ego, or Self-interest… Neither the hair shirt nor the soft berth will do. The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
