We talk about our introduction to this queer classic through the stage production, various versions of the soundtrack and the still-rockin’ after 20 years movie. John Cameron Mitchell’s snappy dialogue is hilarious and the music by Stephen Trask is face-melting rock and roll that can bring you to tears.  We also have to talk about the Glamour - my goodness, the glamour!  The wigs, the makeup, the costumes!  Any drag queen worth her wig glue owes a debt to Hedwig just like Hedwig owes a bit of her look to certain legends of drag *cough* Jackie Beat *cough cough*.  Pour yourself a vermouth on the rocks, grab your wig in a box and get ready for some Eastern bloc Rock!
