Nothing says LGBT Ally like a straight-cis-white-male writing a dialogue for a lesbian.  We’re joined by #friendofthepod Amber Shaw to watch Chasing Amy (1997) and we have some thoughts. Does this quaint tale of sexual politics in the mid 90’s hold up to todays “woke” standards?  It does not.  Is naming your two male leads after Catcher In The Rye characters pretentious? Possibly. Some of the jokes hold up, some of them don’t - it was simpler times! It’s episode 27 of Movies That Made Us Gay!
