45. Single White Female with special guest Jose Galvez - a podcast by Scott and Pete

If our roommate in a Manhattan pre-war rent controlled apartment tried to kick us out we can’t promise we wouldn’t go a little crazy ourselves.  We watched Single White Female (1992) with friend of the pod Jose Galvez (Very Special Television) and we’re all considering changing our name to Hedra.  This early 90’s noir tackles the real problems of being a single gal in the city - sexism at work, adulterous boyfriends and creepy obsessive puppy kicking roommates who practice casual at-home nudity and attempt to take over your life.  This movie is hagsploitation at its finest and the screenplay by Don Roos (The Opposite of Sex, Happy Endings) has enough gay touchstones (Wigs! Male nudity! Stiletto’s as weapons!) to make John Waters proud.
