Instead she made Back to the Future II (1989), but made Deutch a happy man by marrying him—and starring in Back to the Future III (1990). From 1995-99, Thompson starred in the NBC-TV sitcom, “Caroline in the City,” the saga of a popular cartoonist with wacky friends. She most recently starred in the “Jane Doe” mystery series on the Hallmark Channel and is in pre-production on three new movies for 2009: Prettyface, Rock Slyde and Splinterheads. And, of course, she starred in Marvel's first movie based on a comic book, Howard the Duck.
