Sarah Hyde, development officer for planned giving, National Gallery of Art Cima da Conegliano was a prolific painter in the Venetian Renaissance known for his bright colors and spatial harmony in his landscapes. While Cima is often compared to his contemporaries, such as Giovanni Bellini, his landscape paintings are particularly poetic, as he anchors his religious subjects in real places.
