When light enters the eye, it causes a chemical reaction in the back of the eye. If the rods and cones in the eye do not recover efficiently from the reaction, the eyes may become painful, watery, or uncomfortable. Light sensitivity or photophobia can also be caused by dry eyes or corneal issues.  Find out the pain pathways and the connection between migraine headaches and light sensitivity. What can you do to help improve light sensitivity, and reduce or prevent pain, tearing and discomfort? Can your eye doctor help? How does it affect night driving? Can photophobia be a sign that you need to see the eye doctor? Happily, there may be several reasons for this problem, and quite a few possible solutions. Listen to the podcast to find out!
