While the Women's FIFA World Cup is taking place in France 3 of France's top Female Winemakers from @vintage59imports joined us in studio in Raleigh. Francoise Le Calvez of Coupe Roses in Minervois, Francoise Ollier of Ollier-Taillefer in Faugeres and Melanie Pfister of Domaine Pfister in Alsace. In honor of national women’s month, we talk about how female winemakers are perceived in France and how each came to be leaders of their domains. We also talk about their families and the history of their domains, as well as grapes, varietals and how weather affects taste. Tune in to hear more!

Max is a front-of-house vet/sommelier that moved from Los Angeles to North Carolina in 2013. Since moving to North Carolina, he's run restaurants, designed wine programs and builds craft cocktail menus and now produces multiple podcasts. 

Matthew is a certified sommelier from New York. His experience ranges from restaurant/bar to importing some of the finest wines in the world. He moved his family to North Carolina three years ago and works as a wine distributor.
