The fall and Rise of Modern Retail at A Southern Season - a podcast by North Carolina Food & Beverage

from 2021-11-04T07:00

:: ::

Southern Season was a "Mecca" of all fine Southern culinary goods and it was located in Chapel Hill, NC. A Southern Season had the best wine, an impeccable chocolate selection, the finest crafted cooking tools, the pinnacle of all culinary retail, until it couldn't. Unfortunately, it was impossible in this day and age to maintain the success of this large brick and mortar retail shop (also the restaurant Weathervane and the prominent cooking school). This is the story of how fine specialty goods retail survives & potentially thrives in 2021.

We also get the skinny on Almonds, what are the top selling cooking tools and a refresher on regenerative agriculture.

This episode has it all!
