Instead, Mayorga-Gallo presents a fascinating ethnography of a neighborhood in Durham, NC. She shows the various ways that different ethnic groups relate to the neighborhood, express social power, and benefit from privilege. Of particular interest is the role of the neighborhood association in the life of this neighborhood.
