In Deuteronomy 5:22-33, the elders of the people beg Moses never to hear the voice of God from heaven again.  This leads to Moses being established as the mediator of God’s Word on behalf of the people.  The ultimate expression of this is Christ, the Son of God at the Father’s side, who perfectly makes God known.  This is also the reason for preaching: that you might hear God’s Word without being terrified by hearing His voice from heaven.  To hear more about the importance of prophets and preaching, join us for our evening service at 5:00pm on YouTube.
