October brings the third and final Mercury retrograde of the year. This began on Saturday, Oct. 4 and lasts through Saturday, Oct. 25th. Mercury’s retrograde journey starts in early Scorpio, travels back into Libra, then turns direct and retraces back into Scorpio. It is a time of review, reassessment, resolving past conflicts, and re-doing with a keener awareness than before. With Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, it can be a time when truth is revealed.

During October we’re also entering the second eclipse season of 2014. Eclipses usually come in pairs, six months apart, and the two week phase between them is a powerful time to break free from stuck situations. The first of these is a ‘red moon’ total lunar eclipse at 15 degrees Aries, exact on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The corresponding solar eclipse will be on Oct. 23.
