Welcome to New Hope Church’s teaching series podcast.
We’re in the second week of our series Luke’s Gospel: The Great reversal. We will journey to Easter by exploring Jesus through the eyes of Luke. Luke presents Jesus as someone who turns everything and everyone upside-down and inside-down. We cannot encounter Jesus and stay the same. Pastor John Rosensteel will lead this morning's teaching and our scripture reading is Luke 1:26-38.
I’d like to take a moment to share a quick note about our annual Advent Offering that you, New Hope’s congregation, contributed to in December 2021. Our goal was to raise $24,000 to be used to support the caregivers in our local community. Unsurprisingly, you all stepped up to the challenge, but you took it even further. You generously gave $32,000 to New Hope’s initiative, that’s $8,000 more dollars than we could have dreamed of sharing. We the staff are honored by the generosity that you continue to show, and that goes beyond just financial generosity. From all of us and from the recipients of your donations, thank you! You made a difference in the lives of many.
