In the final week of our teaching series The Good Life, Pastor John Rosensteel will be exploring how the gospel relates to death. Death is not what God intended for us. Death makes God angry because death is an enemy. But early on in our story we also understand that death might be friendly. God intended humanity to die so that they could be raised to life forever breaking the power of sin and death. Our scripture reading for the day is Philippians 1:18-24.
Next Sunday marks the start of the Advent season. This year we have some special opportunities to "Look to Jesus" together through what we’re calling “Experiential Sundays”: Each Sunday we will explore a different aspect of Jesus as expressed in the book of Isaiah by singing together, engaging with a teaching, and practicing communion.
