It can be difficult at times to be grateful for the gospel. It is easy to lose sight of what God has done for us. Ingratitude comes when we have ignorance of the worth of the gift we’ve been given but thankfulness is an overflow of our understanding of the incredible work of Jesus on our behalf. This week's challenge from Colossians is a call to expand our vision of what God had done and is doing, and let it overflow into thanksgiving.

"May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins."
Colossians 1:11b-14 (NLT)

"What if our Western world is actually blind to a whole dimension of reality? Ignorant of what many consider to be common sense? What if we’re attempting to solve the problems of the world without dealing with the root cause?"
