International Tribe: Girl Unit - a podcast by Worldwide FM

International Tribe is a new weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian.

This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Girl Unit. 

First starting to DJ back in 2006 under the name Girl U No It's True, Girl Unit is the alias of London producer Philip Gamble. As a key member of the label and event series Night Slugs, which was founded by Bok Bok and L-Vis back in 2008, Girl Unit has released over 7 EPs on the imprint and has collaborated with artists such as Kelela.

His sound continues to push the timbres of the UK scene, with a mix and blend of UK Funky, Post Dubstep, Deep House and R&B. For his International Tribe mix, Girl Unit selects a range of funky, grooving and deep cuts to represent the sounds of the scene.
