06/25/21 : Travis Hafner grew up in the area, eventually making his way through the college ranks and to Major League Baseball, where he starred for the Cleveland Indians for a decade. Nicknamed "Pronk", Hafner hit 213 home runs and 731 runs batted in in 1,183 games. He finished fifth in American League MVP voting in 2005.

He was inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame in 2016.
