Making the Browns Great Again, Free Agents and Franchise Tags - 2/16/17 - a podcast by PodVader

It's the first offseason edition of the Next Fan Up podcast for 2017. PodVader is joined by James (Eagles) and Kevin (Cowboys) for the whole show. Special guest SuperFans will jump in when called on.

And the guys call on Ben, the Browns SuperFan, right off the bat to react to Pod's article at www.nextfanup.wordpress.com "Making the Browns Great Aga...For the First Time".  Pod's hypothesis involves Jimmy Garoppolo and Martellus Bennett. Ben discusses why Pod's hypothesis is necessary for the Browns to improve their team. James and Kevin see that point, but also see things from a different set of lenses.

Next up, Neil, our Redskins SuperFan, drops by to talk about Kirk Cousins pending free agency - or franchise tag. Neil wants to see Cousins back with the Redskins, but if he's not, he wants to see his team get some real value from him in terms of a trade. His fear, Jay Cutler.

Andy, the Dolphins SuperFan, is next to jump in. The Dolphins are making some significant cuts including Branden Albert, Mario Williams, Earl Mitchell and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu.  Andy disagrees with cutting Albert at this point and he instantly becomes the top available free agent lineman.  James mentions a destination to watch for Mario Williams. Pod takes a moment to troll the Dolphins a little.

Pod, Kevin and James talk about some of the other big free agent cuts including Kelvin Beachum, Ryan Clady and Victor Cruz. The guys mention franchise tag players they'd like their teams to target.  We're keeping an eye on the Las Vegas Raiders and it all wraps up with a conversation about special teams.
