In her new memoir, former TV news anchor Katie Couric said she protected Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg from public backlash by cutting out negative comments she made about people who kneel during the national anthem in a 2016 interview. In Going There, Couric admits she cut out a section in which Ginsburg said anthem kneelers are showing “contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life.” Did Couric make the right call?
