Last Friday, the state of New York launched an app called the NY Excelsior Pass which people are comparing to a “vaccine passport”. The pass is a first in the nation digital vaccine certification that would grant civilians access to various venues throughout the state. NY Gov. Cuomo said, “the Excelsior Pass will play a critical role in getting information to venues and sites in a secure and streamlined way, allowing us to fast-track the reopening of these businesses”.
