Three women were chastised for cleaning Black Lives Matter graffiti off a federal building and were told that was not a good use of their "white privilege." A Caucasian woman was made to kneel in front of a camera crew to apologize for white privilege. And a movement is afoot to "defund police", the idea being to eliminate funds for policing and redirect that money to community initiatives. While meaningful change is needed to address police brutality and systemic racism in the U.S., are any of the above actions helpful?
