Virginia, Florida, and Georgia have all declared a state of emergency after a cyberattack by a Russian ransomware group called DarkSide shut down a major pipeline and left hundreds of gas stations across several states without fuel. Today the national gasoline price rose above $3 a gallon, the highest since October 2014. So far, the shortages have not been keenly felt in New England, but rising prices have started.
