This week, the Mississippi House approved Senate Bill 2536, which prohibits transgender athletes from competing on women’s sports teams in the state’s high schools and universities. Closer to home, in Connecticut there is an ongoing case, Soule vs. Connecticut Association of Schools, in which female athletes aim to overturn the CIAC’s policy of allowing “biological males who claim a female identity to compete in girls’ athletic events”.
