Today, in an effort to smooth out what has been a rocky vaccine rollout in Massachusetts, the Baker Administration announced that they are introducing a new pre-registration system for vaccination appointments. In general the process to sign up for a vaccine has been troubling for many but even more so for grocery workers throughout the state who keep getting pushed further back in the phased rollout plan as other groups such as adults over 65 and now teachers get prioritized. Almost three dozen lawmakers are joining union’s calls for Gov. Baker to prioritize grocery workers for the COVID vaccine. Rep. Carmine Gentile says our grocery workers are “exposed to the virus by community spread” every time they start their shift and he joins Dan to discuss.
