New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu says the President disrespected law enforcement when he reversed his proclamation ordering flags at half-staff for Peace Officers Memorial Day which this year also falls on Armed Forces Day. The U.S. flag code reads “The flag shall be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day, unless that day is also Armed Forces Day.” Should the flag be lowered anyway as a sign of respect for those in law enforcement who have died or been injured in the line of duty?
