The White House says the President is being briefed by the Pentagon on conditions in Afghanistan after U.S. personnel fired shots around the airport in Kabul to control the thousands thick crowd desperate to get through the gates and hoping for a possible ticket out of harm's way. Americans have been told in an-email that they need to get to the airport but that the U.S. cannot help get them there. Should we be giving more help to U.S. citizens stuck in Afghanistan?
