That’s right, everyone! Achievements are a thing again thanks to Maki’s non-stop marathon of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Elsewhere, Chuck gets Hardline for Battlefield, BJ joins the Final Fantasy cult and Harlo ends up in spaaaaaaaaaaaaaace! We also talk Elite: Dangerous, Dragon Age Inquisition, Pinball FX2, Lastronaut and more. Join us and score!
NQcast69 – Achievements Are Back!
First half!
* 1:45 Battlefield Hardline (Chuck checks in on this cops and robbers version of Battlefield, enjoying it way more than he expected! Especially that part where he gets to be a loose cannon.)
* 10:37 Dragon Age Inquisition (Harlo bails quickly, but it finally clicked with Chuck, even if it was 20 hours in, even if it was once he stopped retrieving biscuit recipes.)
* 21:33 Space Run (Harlo begins his trip to space with this hexadecimal tower defense game on PC, and makes some ugly ships!)
* 24:14 Elite: Dangerous (Harlo impresses us all with this beautiful PC space exploration/attack game. If you loved Wing Commander: Privateer this might be your game.)
* 33:35 Halo: Master Chief Collection (Maki continues his journey down the Halo rabbithole and learns that he still loves achievements! At least he loves them more than the story of Halo.)
* 46:04 Warframe (BJ completes his journey into the world of Warframe, realizing that it’s running at too slow a pace for him to stick with.)
* 50:07 Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (BJ eventually finishes the download and realizes this is much more his MMO speed. About the speed of a chocobo race. Harlo, not so much.)
* 1:04:44 Pinball FX2: Iron & Steel pack (Maki declares the wild west Steel table as one of the best tables Zen Studios has ever made. Get this pack!)
* 1:08:11 Resogun Vita (Maki loves this game on Vita. If you already own it, you get it cross-buy, and it’s still great!)
* 1:09:41 Playstation Plus Corner!
* 1:09:54 Apotheon (BJ and Maki enjoy the look of this pottery-based game, but eventually get bored of it, unfortunately.)
* 1:15:27 Valiant Hearts (Harlo doesn’t quite love playing this WWI puzzle scroller, but he loves the rarely-used setting.)
* 1:17:41 Counterspy (It’s sort of a Shadow Complex game, that turns into a shooter sometimes. Harlo likes it!)
* 1:19:40 Oddworld: New & Tasty (Maki realizes good memories of Abe’s Oddysee aren’t enough to overcome the clunky controls and timing-based puzzles of this remake.)
Second Half! (1:24:55)
* 1:25:07 Rock Band 4 (It’s coming! We will buy it! Rock Band! YEAH!)
* 1:32:31 Wii-U-lapalooza
* 1:33:04 Super Smash Bros for Wii U (Harlo mashes buttons and knocks dudes off a screen. It’s fun!)
* 1:34:10 Lego Batman 3 (There are a billion characters in this, and it’s fun swapping guys on the gamepad.)
* 1:35:42 Disney Infinity 2.0 (Now Harlo has all the Marvel characters they’ve released. Shame the Big Hero 6 guys can’t come into those playsets.)
* ?1:36:50 Far Cry 4 (We wrap up our Far Cry 4 playing with some platinum trophies and some cynical game endings. And missile launchers and crab rangoon. Of course.)
* 1:43:25 Never Alone (Harlo gets angry at some events in the game, but enjoys the journey just the same.)
* 1:44:43 A Story About My Uncle (Cool title, not-so-cool 3D platformer.)
* 1:47:30 Shadow Warrior (Chuck likes this remake/reboot, but is glad he didn’t pay full price for it. And yeah, there’s some weird, dated, racist-seeming stuff here.)
* 1:51:03 Spelunky (Harlo gets to the end of this game! But realizes crazy shortcuts aren’t worth going for.)
* 1:54:46 Rogue Legacy (BJ explains the mechanics of this game again,
