Janice Gow Pettey has been working in the nonprofit field for more than 25 years. She is an internationally recognized authority on fundraising, and regularly conducts trainings and leads presentations for all types of groups and organizations. She specializes in diversity and ethics in fundraising.
Her book, Cultivating Diversity in Fundraising, was published by Wiley in 2001 and won the CASE International Research Award in 2003. She also served as editor of New Directions in Philanthropic Fundraising: Diversity in the Fundraising Profession, published by Jossey-Bass in 2002.
Janice is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco where she teaches courses in fundraising, strategic planning and board governance.

She serves on the international board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and chairs AFP’s Ethics Committee. She also chaired the 2005 Think Tank on Ethics held in Washington, D.C. Janice also led AFP’s 2005 Diversity Summ
