Consultant, author, and trainer Susan Black, CFRE brings over 20 years of fundraising and non-profit leadership experience to her role as Principal of Allene [uh-LEAN] Professional Fundraising.  Susan has two degrees in political science: a Bachelor's degree from Mary Baldwin College (Staunton, VA) and a Master's degree from the University of Richmond.  Her career in development began as a Prospect Researcher at Marietta College (Marietta, OH) and she went on to gain experience as a Development Director at Easter Seals of Central Ohio and the Epilepsy Foundation of Central Ohio before serving as Vice-President of Advancement for five years at St. Vincent Family Centers in Columbus, OH.  She founded Allene Professional Fundraising in 2008 to bring her expertise to the wider non-profit community and help struggling non-profits identify strategies that will allow them to reach their potential.
