Episode 69 - Lightweight Carry Guns for Women - a podcast by Heidi Lyn Rao

     “What is the best gun for a woman?”  Women and first-time gun owners want to know for their own knowledge, and men want to know for their girlfriends, wives, or daughters.    

     It seems everyone has an answer to this common question.  It is either a specific manufacturer, a specific caliber, or the non-committal answer, “It depends.”  The solution to this dilemma is also the same, “Go out and try different guns to see what you like.”  Unfortunately, these answers and suggestions do little to help our new gun owners to find the right gun for personal protection.  

      Instead of telling the new gun owner what to do, we should be asking her what SHE wants to do.  Does she want to conceal or open carry, where permitted?  Will this be a purse gun, belt holster gun, concealed gun, vehicle gun, home defense gun, or all the above?  Without knowing the answer, any advice is uninformed advice.

     An attacker cannot disarm you if they do not know you are armed.                                                         Think small.  Think light.  Think simple.
