Each time you handle your firearm and ammunition, you immediately become your own Range Safety Officer.  This means you are responsible for your actions, your equipment, your safety, and the safety of those around you.  It is important to know what to look for before, during, and after a day of shooting at the range or in the field. 

You need to know who and what a Range Safety Officer (RSO) is, the RSO commands, how to react to those commands, and common gun range terminology.  This will ensure a safe and enjoyable day at the range and in the field.
