In this series we will look at five amazing pictures from the New Testament—inspiring pictures of godly devotion in response to engaging the person of Christ. Through these five pictures we will come to envision devotion that is unrelenting, unconstrained, undistracted, unpretentious and undaunted.

In sports, we are told to keep your eye on the ball. A similar statement can be made for Christianity: keep your eye on Jesus. You would think such simple advice would be easy to follow, but experience has shown just how often and far our eyes wander! In this week’s passage, another “woman with a flask of ointment” show’s us a real life example of undistracted devotion in response to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
