Christmas is God’s plan. Way before church leaders adopted the date of December 25, before Christmas cards were a thing and then stopped being a thing, before people hung lights on their trees, before mailboxes were stuffed with envy-inducing catalogues, God planned his work and worked his plan. Jesus’ arrival wasn’t arbitrary happenstance. He came in the fullness of time—intentionally and with purpose.
