Intro

A. THE MEANING OF SOLI DEO GLORIA.

1. SDG means that the ultimate reason for all of God’s works of creation, providence, and redemption is to manifest His own glory.

2. SDG should be our highest ambition. 1 Cor. 10:31; 2 Cor. 5:9, 15; Col. 1:18; Ps. 73:25; 115:1.

B. THE SCOPE OF SOLI DEO GLORIA.

1. All creation is made for God’s glory. Ps. 19:1; Rom. 1:20; Ps. 148:1-13.

2. The salvation of sinners is for God’s glory. Eph. 1:4-14.

3. All things are for God’s glory. Rom. 11:36.

C. HOW DO WE LIVE SOLI DEO GLORIA LIVES?

1. To glorify God we must know God.

2. Praise God. Psa. 50:23

3. Bear fruit. John 15:8

4. Seek His glory in all things. Psa. 115:1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.

We must deliberately, diligently and daily disciple ourselves in SDG.
