Sal Daher (@SalehDaher) is a podcaster. Sal is the host of Angel Invest Boston, a podcast focused on the unique concentration of academic talent and entrepreneurial culture propping up cool startups in Boston's biotech scene. Sal uses this platform primarily to maximize his learning as an angel investor but also leverages the podcast to support his life sciences syndicate that goes by the same name. That's right, Sal's podcast allows him to learn, network, source, and diligence all at once. Sal is also a member of Walnut Ventures and MIT Angels. Prior to a prolific angel investing career, Sal spent 26 years getting buckets in international finance working in sovereign distressed debt lending money to countries with credit scores worse than mine (which is not good). If that weren't enough, Sal studied civil engineering at MIT and Stanford.

In this episode, Sal teaches us how to use podcasting to turbo-charge your learning. He teaches what a syndicate is, and how to build one tactically using a podcast as its engine. For those not looking to start a syndicate, but dip your toes into unfamiliar investment niches, Sal explains why investing in syndicates is the perfect way to learn while investing. Sal covers the ABC's of biotech and life sciences investing and how it's comparable to driving through a very thick fog. Sal also shares the frameworks he brings in from lending money to risky countries that he applies to startup investing. The meta-learning skills he covers can be applied to any industry.

Sal teaches us how to build a great syndicate, from Day 1.
