Jane was born and raised in Taiwan. She took an adventure to study abroad in a city that's 4 hrs away from New York. When she graduated from college, she was living her dream of working in New York City. However, when her husband and herself both got promotion in the same week. They both started to rethink whether staying in New York and pursuing the same career path is genuinely what they wanted, which led them to the decision to move back to Taiwan to explore new opportunities.

After a year of exploring and experimenting, they created Empress Hot Sauce that's fermented naturally, preservative and additive-free, and vegan-friendly. The combination of her experiences as a product manager and brand consultant, along with her husband's passion for food. Empress Hot Sauce is now selling domestically in Taiwan and internationally to Hong Kong and the U.S.
