Agnes Bakucz Canario is a Portuguese/Hungarian movement artist based in London who works is often multidisciplinary and collaborative. Agnes’ work focuses on searching for tenderness and flows with regards to human relationships, flows, money, borders and water. Having lived and worked in four different waterborne cities (Lisbon, Budapest, Inverness and London) has made water, as a source, incredibly important to Agnes’ being and practice, using it as a means to connecting to spaces and the people that inhabit it. Agnes has previously performed Isabel Lewis’ ‘Occassions’ at the Tate Modern (Tanks), Bouchra Ouizguen’s ‘Corbeaux’ the Tate Modern and more recently, Hagit Yakira’s ‘If One Keeps Walking’ at Trinity Laban.

Hear Agnes talk about the different processes of performance through working intimately with people in underground bunkers as well as how their own process of choreography develops with the passing of time and their deep connection to music that drives their creativity forward.
