- It’s my born day - round of applause for the birthday girl - I decided to drop this episode for my listeners because I shouldn’t be the only one enjoying my birthday ( btw this episode was pre recorded ) technically they all are but this was Avery interesting week ????? • we speak about Passing ? plus : happy and hated vs loved and undervalued ? I had a very interesting experience with a young lady a client of mine who is mixed but was told she shouldn’t get braids because she was white passing meaning she looks white if u want to hear my thoughts stay tuned - and before you troll me hear me out I’m I cool person I’m honest and I mean well so I’m sorry if I offended anyone but I didn’t start this podcast so I can filter myself imma say what I say and after I say it imma say hey ????? I said what I said - understand that I’m not perfect and I still have room and time to grow - so relax and allow me to find my way I’m not here to be your guru these are just my thoughts • Passing ? this is a sensitive subject but I’m not gonna walk On egg shells where I’m from if u black u black if u white u white if u gay u gay nobody really cares it’s not to say we don’t use these terms to identify one another and I’m proud of my ethnicity • it really felt like a white week ( no shade ) but I got a letter from a white woman about braids and u can hear more about it in this weeks episode but I will post the letter on our Instagram where u can leave your comments • salute to everyone that listens all the way to the end u guys are the real mvp and I love u more and more everyday• i never expected so much love and support so fast but thanks to the likes the follows and the shares u provide it’s really taking off and I thank u so much this is our podcast so email me inbox me and lmk what u wanna hear and discuss or if u would like to be featured ? special thank u to all of our allies cause racism is real colorism is real all the isms and phobias are pretty much trash and I’m bigger than that so are you and do are we • Passing is a term I don’t care if I ever hear again and I embrace all my sisters and our allies it’s all love - kisses and hugs to all my butterflies and lady hugs
