Natalie Wood stars as the legendary star of burlesque, Gypsy Rose Lee and Rosalind Russell portrays her overbearing stage mother, Rose Hovic. This musical, based on Gypsy's memoir, tracks the Hovic family, from their early days in vaudeville through to Gypsy's rise to fame as the world's most famous burlesque dancer. Directed by Melvyn LeRoy with costumes by Orry-Kelly.
