Despite increased food production and reduction of hunger and malnutrition on a global level, there are four countries in Sub Saharan Africa and the Middle East still suffering from famine. Recently, the trend of reduction of hunger and malnutrition has reversed. Jemimah Watkins sat down with Hilal Elver, EU Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, to discover why.

In this podcast, they talk about natural disasters, gender, pesticides and conflict in relation to the right to food, as well as how to avoid food crises.
